The train to and from Edinburgh provided some beautiful scenery. We hadn't seen an ocean in five months, and it was surprising how comforting it was to see the sea. Not "our" ocean, but still pretty darned spectacular.

I know that feeling. After being in Germany for months on end, especially with the daylight hours limited to 8 am to 4 pm, it was such a life-sustaining sight. We flew to Portugal and felt so refreshed to see the ocean and smell the air again. Glad you were able to make the trip.
ReplyDeleteOur days are getting shorter - I'm not looking forward to the dark, cold days ahead. According to everyone I've talked to, this Summer has been the best in YEARS, so I'll have to hold onto the warm, sunny memories.
