It has been many months since we've posted on the blog, so I thought it high time we do some catching up!
This year, Bill & I both turned 40. While I took Bill on a mini-vacation 10 minutes away from our home, he did something really amazing. Bought me a new car!! I have named her Pretty Pearl, and she is really pretty :-)
It's another VW Jetta, but this one's a wagon (which we've already used to haul many things: bikes, lumbar, massage tables, etc. and a turbo diesel. I've been getting on average 35+ MPG and it's one of 2010's "green cars of the year!" That said, it also has a huge sun roof that pretty much uncovers the entire top of the vehicle.
But my favorite surprise addition is the fancy satellite radio - I'm now addicted to it! Good music on the radio in Monterey is really non-existant. I still listen to NPR everyday, but now I can hear some groovy tunes when I feel like it! :-)
